The
Introduction of Sinolaws
Past and Present
In December 1999, Mr Weidong Xie, former judge of
the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic
of China, with 10 years of judicial score and 7
years score of private legal practice, realized
sharply that, following China's entry into the WTO,
demand for Chinese legal services worldwide would be
colossal, and that meeting this demand would be
something of great importance, being not only
economically very profitable but also beneficial to
the nation and the world. In January 2000, Mr Xie
decided to leave the Supreme People's Court, to use
the high-tech based Internet, to take the advantage
of the chances brought by China's eminent entry into
the WTO, and set up the Chinese Legal Services
Network ------ Sinolaws, whose core services are
Chinese law information, legal consultation and
legal representation.
